Farmlands’ vision is to be the ‘go-to’ for everyone connected to our land. The co-op was formed by farmers for farmers over 60 years ago, with the aim that everybody should prosper. It was set up to challenge, disrupt, and push against established ways of doing things to get a better result for Kiwi farmers and growers.

When Farmlands Fuel and Northfuels/Southfuels joined together in August 2022 they created ‘Fern’ – a fuelling company focused squarely on the needs of Aotearoa New Zealand’s primary industries.

This joint venture was a partnership that simply made sense – two trusted Kiwi companies that were both Z distributors, both operating nationally and both supporting mostly rural communities by providing crucial inputs for farmers and growers – with fuel being a big part of that.
